Hi Tim, This is really impressive, can't wait to test this special instance of iD :) The road you went along since early 2015 brings a lot of positive things
Telecom tags consistency needs to be tidier, especially for towers, masts, poles or whatever. Your tools may help a lot to do so and find missing objects. 2016-08-17 19:22 GMT+02:00 Florian Lohoff <[email protected]>: > > For Germany all phone exchanges from Deutsche Telekom have been imported > some time ago but you dont seem to show them. > > This is an example for Exchange "ONKZ 5241 ASB 4": > > https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/151237643 I remember of a talk about man_made=MDF and imho it doesn't sound to be the best solution. Because main distribution frame is only a particular component inside a whole central office. http://www.infos-reseaux.com/photos/image.php?id=190 MDF can be mapped with dedicated features if mappers know exactly where they are in (sometimes) big buildings. The example you show is a building hosting many different kind of devices and equipment and we'd better call them "central office". telecom=central_office and building=yes (at least). That's the point of this proposal http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Proposed_features/Telecom_local_loop All the best François
