AFAIK, WMF servers are all virtualized, so installing and importing a 600GB db might take a looong time. It took about 5 days for me to load all of wikidata and OSM data, and catch up to the current state, on a 128GB RAM beefy server with SSD HDs. Doing it in a virtual env might be ... slower.
