Hmm.. What browser are you using?
I'm pretty sure the last Firefox upgrade (v62.0) didn't coincide with
the problem.
I've since regressed back to Firefox v60.0 (August release) to prevent
another problem (Overpass/Leaflet) from occurring but the wiki is still
slow.
Also IE v10.
I'm using Windows 7
Someone else posted about this problem previously.

For the couple of weeks OSM Wiki pages are quite slow to load. Is
it coincidence it was at the same time OSM Wikibase was implemented?
Are there any plans to rectify the situation?
I noticed no slowdowns during viewing or editing.
