You should check all the things about the file
/etc/aliases.db.
Did you run postmap on /etc/aliases? - you should
Do you have local chroot()'d in master.cf? (you shouldn't)
Does the file have the proper permissions (world readable)?
Does the directory /etc/have the proper permissions
(chmod a+rx /etc will set them right if they are not right)
schon probiert?, eventuell liegt es daran.
