Hallo,
unter SuSe 8.2 Prof. ist die MS-Fonts per YASt installiert, lassen
sich ausw�hlen und werden auch wie eingestellt verwendet. Doch sobald
ich die Schriftgr��e im Kontrollzentrum von "10" auf "8" verkleinere,
werden alle Schriften undeutlich, viele Zeichen verwischen
ineinander, bekommen teilweise merkw�rdige helle Flecken in einzelnen
Buchstaben und wird allgemein vollkommen unleserlich. Ganz besonders
�bel wird es mit dem SuSE-StandardFont "Nimbus Sans 1". Es ist
vollkommen egal, ob mit AntiAliasing oder ohne. Im Gegenteil ohne
wird die Sache erst so richtig grauslig.
Beim herunsuchen fand ich dann heraus, das SAX2 den TFT in der x und y
Achse zu klein eingestellt hat, es fehlten 2 cm. Nach �nderung
besserte es sich lediglich etwas, doch f�r die Augen ist es dennoch
anstrengend.
Zum Einsatz kommt ein 17" Benq TFT FP767 ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) mit einer
nVidia GeForce 440MX und dem nVidia Treiber. 3D ist aktiviert (ist
auch so unter nicht aktiviertem 3D). Das XF86Config file (s.u) habe
ich mit SAX2 schon mehr schreiben lassen, die TTF�s liegen im
richtgen Verzeichnis. Die verwendeten Freqzuenzen sind laut TFT
Handbuch OK.
Ich weiss nicht mehr weiter, im Handbuch oder der Hilfe finde ich
nichts, ausser grunds�tzlichem - das hier scheint was spezielles zu
sein. Google brachte nichts, ein freundlicher SuSE-Supporter konnte
leider auch nicht helfen.
Ich weiss, das Linux das besser kann, ich habe es schon gesehen, doch
wo und was muss ich drehen? Falls jemand Hinweis haben sollte, bitte
versucht soweit als m�glich zu ber�cksichtigen, dass ich unter Linux
noch recht unge�bt bin.
