Interesting Chrjistopher, do you not avail of the Quick Office Word on your phone? I know for me I like to put word files on my phone (study) to refer to as and when convenient.

I can create text (*.txt) files on my phone and then copy them to my PC or
copy text files from my PC to my phone and then read and edit them on my
phone. This also allows me to use the full folder structure and the File
Manager on my phone to organize my files. I'm sure the text editors also
have some additional features not found in the Notes utility.

What benefits then Christopher do you have from installing third party text
editors?

That's what I would assume as well, although to my knowledge, the Notes
application in Series 60 phones doesn't really work with .txt files. I've
had to install 3rd party text editors to work with .txt files on my phone.

The Notes utility does have a send option, so it's probably most accurate
to
say that you can create a text note with the Notes utility and send it to
someone in your contact list.

I think that was supposed to be TXT for text note.

Hi David

Please forgive me if i am stating the obvious. I dont mean to offend
anyone.
But Just setup your own details as one of the contacts in the contacts
folder.
These contacts are cald business cards.
Then you can easily send your contact details as a business card.

Or else you can setup a .tst note in your notes folder.
And send it to as many people as you want.

hth
cheers
Mario

I need to circulate my new phone number to the people I have put on my
contact list.
I have been told that the best way to do this is to send a business
card.
I can see easily how to send the business card as an option in Contacts.

How do I set up the business card though??
At the moment, as far as I am aware, the phone is completely unaware of
my
name for example.
I have gone through the phone settings wizard but could not find a
relevant
area.

My version of the manual is again less than helpful, simply pointing to
the
ability to send business cards as an option in contact, but not how to
set
up the business card.

Again thanks for any help.
Without this list I am not sure I would have been able to muddle through
so
far.

Regards

David Griffith
