This existed in Talks 5.01.1 and Talks 5.00.3 as well. You do not press the Talks key first. You just press and hold the volume up button for about 1 second to switch between the different movement types, Talks will not tell you anything as far as what the up and down volume will do.

Hi Aaruni,

Is this on Talks V5.01.1 or existed even in Talks V5.00.3?

I remembered in Talks V5.00.3, Long press of vol up only have two functions.
Volume or Navigation or something like that.

Thanks,
KITT.

Hi Kit, You can use long volume up command to toggle between various
nevigation and other options, e.g. up and down in the list, left and
right within tabs and you also get to move between various buttons. it
works very well.
Thanks,
Aruni.

Hi Steven,

I even have sighted helping me to do it and never seems to be able to do
it
on X6. If I can get my hand on the phone again, I will try again to
locate
the left and right icon on top as you have suggested.

However, using the Volume is impossible. Volume function could only be
used
to navigate up and down and not left to right. Pls inform if there is any
way to change the volume to move left to right.

Thanks,
KITT.

On my 5800 Express music which is a full touch screen, you can move from
tab
to tab by using the volume keys or finding the Left/Right icons at the top
of the screen and tapping the direction you want to move. Those are the
two
way to move from tab to tab. So wants you understand what needs to be
done,
it is easy to mvoe from tab to tab on a touch screen. When using a touch
screen phone! It is a very big learning curb, being you are learning how
to
move around the screen and whare things are on the screen. Example, using
the Left/Right spots on the screen to move from tab to tab with Talks.

So number two is not a issue.

For number 1, it is stated in the release notes that there are issues with
the on screen keyboard.

Hi there,

I have not tested I-Phone, so no comment on that.

However, I have tried on X6 before. I could access and use all the
features
or at least on those I have tested. I must say that it's challenging.
There are few things which are not working properly:

1. Virtual keyboard: Talks is not saying anything when you move around
the
virtual keyboard, make worst, you cannot even leave the virtual keyboard
on
your screen. Some says that there is a small icon on top for you to close
but it's hard to find.

2. Property Tabs: I still could not find a way to move or scroll from
left
to right on this model. Scrolling from top to bottom could be performed
using the scroll feature. However, I just cannot move from left to right
to
view displays out of the screen. Example, in Talks, we have about 7 Tabs
under the settings but you cannot move right to access Dictionary options.

If you have been using a normal keypad phone, this will take a lot of
getting use to.

Regards,
KITT.

Dear all,

I'm making a decision to buy Nokia X6. I'm not whether sure the way I use
the full touch screen phone like Nokia X6 with Talks is similar to voice
over on IPhone 3GS or not. I found only a few paragraphs on the Talks
release note that discusses on how to use Talks with the touch
screen-based
phone. May anyone kindly share your experiences on using Nokia X6 and
Nuance
Talks 5.01? Does it slow to interact? How to work with it?

Sincerely,

Eakachai
