Yes it will read the number that is under your finger. Can't say anything about 
using it while on a call. Never used it to make one! Smile. I never liked the 
phone so it just sits in a container until i want to play with it. It doesn't 
have a active sin card in it.

Just out of interest Stephen, does Talks read out numbers when they're 
focused inthe Phone application, and can you use Talks when you're on a 
call?
