It doesn't sound like a Talks issue, being the files are still there. You
may want to check your screen rotation and make sure that it is turned off.
If the screen rotates while you are in teh progrma, then any Object viewer
settings will not work. However the Application Specific settings would
still continue working.
How many Con* files do you have for this program?
How many DIC* files do you have for this program?
How many Settings* files do you have for this program?
Example of what I'm talking about.
conf-00-a00007a6-Y-Browser.txt
dict-10-a00007a6-Y-Browser.txt
In any case, there should be at most 1 file for each of the file types
above. If you have more then 1 of the same file type for the same program!
Then there is nothing Talks can do being at that point, it sounds like the
program is generating a different program ID each time you install it. That
is kind of what the number are as part of the file name. Also note! the
files will not be all together! You will have the CON* files first followed
by all the DIC* files and lastly all the settings* files.

Subject: Application Specific Setting and Dictionary.
Hi friends,
I installed a program UTM Data for GPS. I have set few settings under
Application Specific setting for talks as well as labeled some graphics
under the Dictionary for Talks.
Whenever I remove and installed back this program, all those settings done
above including graphics labeled will not be effective any more. So I
have
to re do everything again.
Any tips of how to avoid this please?
I have other settings as well as graphics labeled for other programs and
whenever I removed or installed it, it will not effect Talks settings.
Thanks,
KITT.
