Also you should update your Talks to version 5.01.1 from your 4.10.3. You
are at least 3 versions out of date. You can see the release notes files for
the different versions to see what all the differences are. You only need to
install the latest file to get all of the changes.

The feature or function you talking about does not exist in Symbian phones
File Manager.. It's only applicable in Contacts, yes, but not in file
manager like how it works in windows explorer of a pc.
So there is nothing wrong with your phone or Talks.

I expeerience a problem in looking for files and folders using the file
manager on my e66.
Could this be a Talks problem?
The problem that I am having is that I am unable to use first letter
navigation to get to an item I want.
If I press the first letter of an item, nothing happens.
I can only get to the desired item using the cursor keys, not first letter
navigation.
I am able to use first letter navigation in Contacts but not in File
manager.
Any help how to fix this is much appreciated.
The e66 uses the synbian operating system.
I have talks 4.10.3.
