Over the years I have had Norton Anti Virus, MacAfee, Nod 32, AVG, and now Nod32 again in the guise of Eset Smart Security installed for protection. The sad fact is that despite having the latest updated and paid versions of all these products they have all, without exception, failed to protect my PC from at least one virus ,Trojan , or serious malware. I have learnt not to rely on any anti virus completely, especially in a family where children access the PC as well. . Luckily I have clean images of my XP install that I can return to but it is a hassle.
