On the C6, the touch screen seems to change and the soft key
1 & 2 are not present. I have to go back into menu and then
soft key 1 to open apps to close the page down. Weird!

When reaching the text field have you tried pressing soft
key 1 then
choosing the open option then pressing soft key 1 again to
close the edit

Did you try using the Select key in place of the enter
key? Sometimes the two keys behave differently.
