Interestingly as I reflect on what you say Bernard. There were issues with E72 and Talks when E72 first cane out. Then the last Talks resolved these issues back in March this year. Hopefully the next release will take care once again. As you have not noticed any improvements in this firmware upgrade. It would be interesting to know what Nokia habe to say about the bug fixes. -original message- Subject: Re: [Talks] talks not speaking symbol list following firmwareupdate one72. yes I tried both email and entering a text message when I press the button talks says edit then either 1/2 or 2/2 followed by c I tried having talks speak all punctuation but it makes no difference. I have not used the browser as yet but I have a feeling you are correct. I rebooted the phone but no difference. there may be a work around the button second from the right seems to switch from ' to & but I don't know how many more symbols it will do. I tried pressing the talks button twice to bring up the symbols that way. My message was dumped and I was returned to the standby screen. So until nuance fix this I would hold off on updating to the new firmware. It's certainly a big problem if you can't edit while using the browser. I just checked I can still edit a document in quick office but again talks will not speak the symbol list. If you arrow a few times and press select it will put what you have selected in to the message, email or office document but you don't know what you are selecting. Apart from that there seems no difference in the firmware. I think a list member using an n97 is having the same problem.
