AS the saying goes, sometimes you get what you pay for. Yes you have to install all part of the KNFBReader Mobile Software. Talks will not read any of the text. The KNFBReader work for the most part like any other scanner package for the blind that runs on a PC. The KNFBReader Mobile Software just happends to run on a cell phone just like Talks screen reader does. Also like any other package there is a learning curb. Yes you can also get a 14 day or so trial for the KNFBReader Mobile Software by contacting them or a dealer. With Talks, you can get a trial up to 30 days to trial the Talks screen reader. Remember when running the Trial with Talks!! This give you access to all functions of Talks for that trial time frame. This means you better try all the TTS out during that time frame because you will then have access to them. Wants the trial is over with, the access to the extra TTS goes away.

I googled it; That seems to be a graphic-to-text-to-speech application, and
that is too expensive! 995 $. Is there any other suggestions? Maybe that's
better the to-speech part, which can be accomplished by talks, be omitted.

Dear folks,

I am thinking about purchasing an N86. I am wondering if there is an
application to utilize its 8 megapixel camera as a text reader.

Cheers!
