The date is part of the normal profile screen. The time is not spoken. In
saying this, the Nokia startup tone will be played in other profiles as well.
In this case the initial question had to do with a person not hearing the Nokia
startup tone. My thinking is they may have switch there phone to the silant
profile. But anyway, if you do not want to hear the date spoken when you switch
to the normal profile, you can use the Talks object viewer and tell Talks to
use the role of ignore or status for that line. If you use status, then you can
use Talks long soft key2 to hear the information on that line.

Hi Stephen,
Will turning on "normal" cause Talks to start announcing the date and time?
I have it set so that only the Nokia start-up tone plays. Thanks.
Jo
