Hello Nicky,
I can help you with your first two question.
1. Sounds like you have your cursor mode set to original, which is the
default setting. You can cycle through the cursor modes by pressing the
Talks key followed by a long press on the figure 2 key on your keypad.
The order is: Letters, words, original. When set to letters or words, you
can arrow left/right through text messages and other text and number
fields. If you have trouble hearing letters, press the Talks key followed
by a short press of figure 3 on your keypad. This will turn on phonetic
spelling, so the letters A, B, C will be Alpha, Beta, Charlie, etc. This
is a toggle, so repeating this keystroke will have letters spoken as
normal.
2. To have new SMS messages read as they come in, go into the Talks
settings, arrow to the automation tab sheet and arrow down to the third
option, new messages. If you hear New Messages don't Read, press the
centre button of your cursor keys to turn it on. This is a toggle and can
be turned off with the same key press.
I'm sure others on the list can answer your third question.
Hope this helps.
Best wishes,
Clive Pallett
