Hi Hussain. The Ovi Maps suite is only accessible if you use the other
screen reader. Talks will support Ovi Maps but the release of Talks 5.2
isn't due until March I think. In the brief interview they announced
February but March or April is a much more realistic time frame.

Hi,
Not having any problems with the N86 at all. Other than a slight scratch on
the back plate it's good as new.
The E5 sounds like it'll fit the bill, and I particularly like the long
standby time. If Talks works on it and Ovi Maps works, that's all I need,
but as Saqib said the GPS receiver is better, than that's an added bonus for
me.

Hi Hussein
Can I ask were you having difficulties with Nj86 as you are changing for
something else? Am I correct in thinking that the E5 which is obviously
much cheaper than N86 is as good a phone?

Not Hussein. How new is this phone? Is it better than C5? Does it have
wi-fi?

Hi Hussain. May I recommend the Nokia E5. It will set you back about
£150. It's a qwerty keypad phone and the battery life is excelent. I
can get 2 days out of it on heavy use. If I'm navogating all day then
it's best to charge the phone up in the evening. The internal GPS is as
good as I've ever seen as I've haven't used my external GPS receiver
since purchasing this phone.

Hi,
I know it's been a while since I've been on the list but was wondering if
anyone could possibly please spare a moment to help with the following?
I will shortly no longer have my Nokia N86. However, I would like to have
a
replacement Nokia phone primarily for using Nokia Maps as I'm really
getting
on extremely well with it and have found it has vastly improved my
confidence and independence.
I'm thinking of using a high-spec external GPS unit, so it's not all that
much of a problem if the phone's own GPS isn't the best.
The phone will also be a backup phone, and I'll probably keep my contacts
and calendar on it as a backup.
My question really was if anyone could recommend a reasonable cheap phone
which works with Talks, Ovi Maps and which would suit given what I've said
above? Battery life is also important as I would be using the phone for
navigation for long periods.
I've decided I'm not too keen on going for a touch screen, so please keep
this in mind.
I'd appreciate any advice or suggestions, and will then look for the
cheapest place to buy.
Thanks in advance for your time.
