A shortcut is not to press options after highlighting the phone number! Just
press Select. This will bring up a much shorter menu to select from.

Got it! Thanks for that extra bit about the original cursor.

You also have to make sure you're in original cursor mode. Do this with
the Talks+[long press 2] to toggle between characters, words and
original. Once you're in original cursor mode, press the down arrow key
to highlight the phone number and then check out the Options menu.

Brad,
Seems like I was doing all that, but how do I make sure the message is
highlighted?

With the message open press soft key 1 and arrow down to "automatic find"
and make sure it says off. The nmake sure the body of the text message is
highlighted. Now press soft key 1 again and you should find something
like
add to contacts or save to contacts.

Subject: [Talks] Using a Phone Number from a Text Message
Okay, I often use 411 and have it set up to send me a text message while
I'm
connected. I'd like to use the phone number they give in the text message
so
I can create a new contact. However if I simply use the number from the
context menu it uses "411". How do I copy the phone number embedded in
the
text message to use as a starting point for a new contact?
I'm using the N95 and latest Talks version 5.x.
