Hi.

Ok the cover of the n86 difficult to take off for a reason, and that reason
is it holds the memory card in place.
turn the phone over in your hand so the back is facing up towards the
ceiling and the camera is furthest away from you. The lower half of the
cover is flat below the lens slider. On the bottom edge there is a little
groove you can put a pair of tweezers into and lever upwards away from the
phone. The cover is a pig to get off, and is quite stiff, indeed, I was so
worried I purchased two more, just in case one bust. The cover will come
away in one piece, exposing the battery and the sim slot, as well as the
memory card slot, which is to the right of the lens cover. The sim slot is
accessed by taking the battery out and sliding the sim into a little slot on
the right of the now exposed back face of the phone, I can't remember which
way it goes in, but once it's in it stays well in. You then replace the
battery and slide the memory card into the slot half way, where you will
feel resistance, as there's a spring. Hold the memory card in while
replacing the cover, top edge first, so the top edge snaps over the memory
card, the fitting is very snug, so don't worry about a little pressure.
