On your phone if you do a star hash 0000 hash, this will bring up the firmware
version. You can try doing a Talks up arrow to read the information on the
screen. You can also go into the Talks object viewer and then arrow down to the
line that has the information on it, then you can reread it with the Talks up
arrow command. You could also hook your phone up to your pc using pc suite
mode, then arrow to your phone model in the My computer under the Nokia phone
browser. Do not open it, just highlite it. Then press the Application key on
your computer and arrow to the properties and press enter. This will then bring
up a screen showing you information about your phone. Part of that information
is the firmware version. One of the above way will work for you.

Gladly, only I do not know how to arrow through the window that comes up
that tells me. Maybe there is another way of doing it where I can arrow
through. I updated this morning. I think it says v 5 but there is also the
number 6 in it. The update was from Oct 2010 and then I think it was
released to customers in December 2010. Hopefully when you or someone can
tell me how to read the exact version, I will be delighted to pass that info
on Actually as well as improving the Talks volume the ring tone is
excellent now too.
