Yes you can press and hold the Talks key for about one second and see if that
stops the information. Just wondering, how are you starting the playback? Are
you going to the track in the file manager and selecting it? Using the gallery
button to bring up the list of tracks and starting playback that away? Or are
you going into the music player then getting to the trac that away? Or using
some other way to do it? The reason i'm asking, is some of the above could do
what you are saying. Myself i go into the music player then all tracks and
select the track that away. When i do that, the information isn't repeated.
Some times using the file manager or the gallery information gets repeated.
Also make sure that you have the latest version of Talks on your phone! 5.20.3.

Subject: [Talks] Interrupting Talks

Is there any way to interrupt and stop talks reading out the screen?

I do not want to mute Talks, just stop it talking temporarily. For example
if I have entered on a song in the music player Talks will continue to read
out the screen over the music for a few seconds.
On a PC you can stop Jaws reading out screen content by pressing the
control key. Is there a talks equivalent?
I am using the latest version of talks, downloaded a few days ago, 5.2 I
think on a N86.

David Griffith
