I think, that this is not the firmware' problem, rather, it is talks
problem. Cause if it was a phone problem, then the phone would have
restarted, etc. Other thing, is that not only me, some other friends on
this mailing list r also facing the same issue, dispite of having a
different phone. It did not occur with talks5.1
can u mention what is ur firmware's release date, cause as per what i
know, last it was released was on july2010.

The firmware on my C5 is 061.005. I updated my phone on the first march
2011, so you may need to try updating your firmware.

Talks? Yes I know the version number didn't change between the 5.01.x
release of Talks but the date on the file is different that is why I
asked
if you installed the Eloquence-ENU* version that came with 5.20.3 of
Talks.
Also what firmware do you have on your N86 and C5 that are having issues?
This is done from the standby screen and doing a *#0000#.

on the web. Next time it happens i'll try your suggestion to see whether
this fixes the problem. I'm using the version of Eloquence which came

5.2.3. I'm using an N86.

Well when you start the other screen reader! That automatically disables
Talks first of all.
Next! What TTS are you using?
What version is the TTS that you are using?
Did you try doing a Talks followed by a long press of the Clear key to
either unload the current TTS or to bring up the TTS list if you have
more
then one installed. Then you can either do a Talks followed by a press
of
clear to reload the current TTS or you can arrow to another TTS and
press
select if more then one is installed.
Personally myself, I would try another TTS and see if the problem
continues.
Sound like the tts that you are using is crashing.

i'm facing a strange problem in my nokia c5-00. Whenever i start
reading
anything using say all command talks+down arrow, it hangs
automatically.
This did not occur in 5.1 version of talks. Then i have to again enable
talks using mobilespeak.
Is anybody facing the same problem in c5, or any other phones?
I've turned off the keypad tones. Please reply, if u have any
suggestions.
