You can check the battery status by pressing Talks and soft key two.

switch off the warning tone on the current profile will silance the
startup tone.

How do I turn off the start-up tones on the Nokia C5? On the other Nokia's
that I've used if I have to enter a pin code as I do with
C5 I had no start up tones.
