I would suggest that you not keep a lot of messages like that to start with.
I would add thing to your contact list if they are phone numbers and the
like or add them to the notes area. I wouldn't keep hundreds of messages on
the phone for this very reason. Very bad habet to get into.

One thing you can try is to look at the message storing, change it back to
memory card if it has changed to phone.
If still nothing, it could be the same thing which happened to many when
we were using N70. Sort of like to many messeges stored and the memory
card just cannot take it anymore and everything just wipe out. It could
happen also cause that you press Softkey-1 to go into msg but before it
opens all, you again press Softkey-2 to exit.
Well, the above happened to me when I was using N70 with a lower speed 2gb
memory card which is almost maximum for the phone. switching over to a
high speed memory card does help but it could still happen, have to be
extra careful.

Subject: [Talks] problem with messages disappearing
Hi list. Yesterday I had an issue with my Nokia N82. When I pressed soft
key 1 to bring up my messages folders? Nothing happened. This wasn't
completely unusual. As I have a lot of saved texts on my phone. So it does
usually take a few seconds or so for the folders to load up. And for Talks
to start speaking. However yesterday, no matter how log I waited? I got no
response from Talks. On rebooting the phone. Talks was fine. I could also
go into other menus such as tools etc no problem. I also had no problem
bringing up my contacts and sending a text. However, pressing softkey 1,
would not bring up the messages folders. On starting my phone today. I now
find. That I can now load up the messages folders no problem. However, all
my boxes are empty. e.g in box, sent folder etc. Even all of my created
folders are all gone. And so too all of my saved texts. Has anyone else
experienced this? How can I get all of my texts etc back? I did have the
option to have messages to save to my memory card checked. So should they
still be on there?
Thanks Jason
