In this case, it sounds like a MMS issue and not a Talks issue. You really don't need the MMS installed on your phone. I don't have it on any of my phones and the phones work just find.

You did right by removing it and it is also glad to see the issue went away with the memory full message.

Stephen,

Yes, I am running Talks 5.2x. Everything was working fine yesterday until I
followed a prompt from PC Suite to install MMS support on my phone. Once I
did this, the memory full message returned when I tried to send a text
(never mind that I had more than 95MB of memory available). I uninstalled
the MMS support function and the memory full issue has gone away again. It's a bandade sollution, though, and I don't know why this crops up when I still
have so much space.

Thanks for your patience with me on this.

Michelle

What Talks version did you put on your phone? Are you still getting the
memory full message? If not, then I wouldn't worry about it most deffently
true of you put 5.20.x on your phone.

When I ran the firmware updater last night, it told me I was up to date
despite the fact that I thought I was running something older. My wireless
provider limits what firmware I can use, anyhow, so the very latest
version
would be out of the question regardless.

Not Stephen but would a firmware update help? It certainly resolved the
issue on my phones.

Stephen, I'd be grateful for those details, as the memory full issue was
the
cause of my recent phone shenanigans. Any info that could prevent that
from
becoming an issue again would be greatly appreciated.

Yes the memory full error was fixed after that. I think it was midd to
late
2010 when that was fixed. I would have to go and review the release notes
if
you wanted to know the version it was fixed in.

I always ran the latest talks and still do. it's great for n86 owners
then
if that problem has been solved. I think I owned the n86 in the later
half
of 2009 after I got rid of my iphone 3.

What version of Talks were you running on the N86? I believe the
memory full error was greatly reduced across all handsets with one of
the most recent versions of Talks, so this issue is not an N86 problem.

I travelled in cars with mine I would ask the owner to set the car's

Does any other nokia talks compatible handset have the built in fm

Unfortunately the n86 would not work correctly with bluetooth hearing

But for all round performance physical size and good audio output
from the internal stereo speakers the n95 is hard to beet.
One fault I found when pressing the skip to next track button in the
music player there is a click noise just before the track starts
playing for some odd reason going back to previous track does not
generate this click noise. I think the n86 did this as well but I'm
not certain of that. I thought it may have been a talks issue but no
I tested it with talks disabled not just muted. But as it is fairly
soft it's hardly an issue.

Yes Bernard, I agree with the N95 being great phone. This is why I
still love my Nkia N86.

Yes I wish I had never sold my n95 apart from it not having a qwerty
keyboard in my opinion the n95 was probably the best nokia handset ever
released.

If there is nothing wrong with your phone and it suits your needs then
there
is really no reason to change. You have to remember that there are
still
people out there using phones like the 6620 and the 6682, which are
2nd
edition phones.

As far as I know there are no other nokia phones that compare to the
speakers found in the n95. Certainly none of the E series phones.
That is the biggest draw back to these phones is that the speaker is
on the back of the phone which is bad enough, but it gets worse when
you lay the phone down especially on a softer surface. It really cuts
the sound down. I usuall lay my phone down upside down for that
reason so I don't block the speak. I don't know how Nokia has gotten
away with this through all these phones. Surely some of the designers
must recognize what poor speakers they have, but if they do they
didn't care since ther're all the same. The n97 mini, n82 and n86
have external stereo speakers that are better than the E series
phones, but they aren't as good as the n95. Partly I think this is
because the phones are much thinner which we like so therefore the
speakers are smaller. Just a guess.

hi,

E6 is a candybar type with qwerty keyboard below the touchscreen.
you can read the phone specks at the following link:
http://www.gsmarena.com/nokia_e6-3717.php

E7 is a slideout qwerty keyboard like the N97. you can read the
specks at the following link:
http://www.gsmarena.com/nokia_e7-3545.php

i dont think you can compare this 2 phone to the N95, because there
are way different.

I believe the e 6 or e 7 had a slide out keyboard and one of them had
a
keyboard below the screen. what's the cost of the phone? how does
it
compare to the n95? where can I review the specks? thanks.
