when you choose rename if you don't press a key when you are in the edit
name field you should be able to left and right arrow through the name and
see how it is spelt. when renaming images use file manager rather than from
with in the images system.

I have tried what you both suggested. When I use the rename option, the
file name is much shorter. Starting with the date, followed by the file
size. I think talks must be reading something else in front of the file
name and stringing it all together.
