I'm sure other e72 owners will tell you their problems with the email
client. To put it simply when running the latest firmware and talks or for
that matter mobilespeak the email client is just not accessible. When you
open a message talks just says browser.
Not even the subject or sender is spoken when you arrow through the unread
messages. The menu options speak when softkey1 is pressed and you arrow
through them. As I said in my previous post if you choose reply then some
messages are spoken but as you know you don't reply to all messages.
On another issue when ever you run voice recorder talks says please wait.
I was able to get rid of the please wait by using the object viewer and
setting the roll of the please wait object to ignore.
Re the radio
I can't get talks to speak the radio type when radio is launched and the
arrow keys are used the object viewer can not fix this.
Mobilespeak does this very well.
It's good having both screen readers so comparisons could be made and I'm
looking in to batch files to have a given screen reader load when a certain
application is loaded so the one that supports an application the best could
be automatically used for that application.

Hi Bernard,
thanks for your feedback.
message or document. I think making the email client in the latest
firmware accessible is going to be one hell of a challenge. Currently it
has stumped both talks and mobilespeak developers.
Could you please clarify the remain problems with the e-mail client in
TALKS 5.21 in the new firmware?
I would expect the focused element in the Inbox to be read fine. Also the
plain-text version of the e-mail should be read when you press
[Talks],[Down] after TALKS says "Browser" when you have opened a received
message. This method will not yet let you access attachments, but the text
itself should be readable as if it were a web page
If this doesn't work, it would be interesting to hear more...
ciao marcus
