I think once you make that change in messaging the messages are then saved on the memory card. Dear Friends, I am using E72 with latest firmware and latest talks. I wish to transfer my SMS's to memory card from phone memory. When I go to messages/settings/others and change memory in use to memory card, unfortunately, I am not asked about transfering or copying all messages to memory card.
