Hi Eleanor, press talks key and right bottom of the screen for key2 to learn
battery, signal and other status information. the part you will touch is,
over the email key. just touch the screen border over the email key, talks
will speak. the email key is the upper part of the big key right to the
joystick. That has 2 functions, the lower part is contacts key, the upper
part is messaging or email key. same thing is valid for the left of
joystick. the big key left to the joystick has also 2 functions, the upper
part is menu key, the lower part is calendar key. I forgot to mention about,
actually these keys used for 3 functions. the other functions are, the
rightest part of the email key is the red key or end key, the leftest part
of the menu key is green key or call key.
Talks is unstable on web on e6, it can read the links or web content but can
not click any link. for example, i go to google, type what i search for,
click the search button, it again loads the google home page without any
search results.

Well everybody I have an E6 now which has been driving me mad for the day
*smile*. Question, how do I get the battery status? I can get my wireless
lan and the alarm clock but no battery status. Now able to read my
e-mails though it drove me crazy working it out and can read odd things on
the internet. Was a pity to give mup my E7 to try the E6 but I found the
E7 a heavy clumsey phone but very good for people with some vision. I
would have held on to it only people on the list with the same firmware
version and the same Talks, latest August release could read the web and I
could not. Now I have a bit of bother regarding my Talks licence as it is
somewhat in limbo as to whether or not I can transfer my licence. Well if
I cannot then that will be a first for me and nobody else has the phone
with Talks as it has gone back. My Talks dealer tells me that my issue
with the phone is a 'first' so they have to enter in to discussion with
Nuance as regards whether I must purchase a new licence or can transfer my
current one. Oh well so much for honesty. I would have had no problem if
I'd just said there had been a problem with the phone like lost of stolen
but the fact that I cannot access the Internet with Talks while others can
with same version of firmware and talks as myself has never been heard of
before.
