This could also be with the latest firmware the contacts are in OVI view or something like that. So even installing the latest version of Talks will not fix this! You need to go into the contacts on the phone, Press Options and arrow up to Settings and select that! Then turn it back to the standard view for the contacts.

I've used Talks 5.00.3 on a C5 and no that you can use a older version of Talks on this phone. Even then, you should install the latest version.

Dear Allan

I will inform my friend about what you just said. I am wondering
whether you, or anyone else, tested this version with a C5 phone. If
this is the case, then there is no doubt that the version/release
which is installed is a problem. I just want to exactly pinpoint where
the problem is, so that we do not have to install several releases and
try it out if this has already been tested. I am saying this because
this is another person's phone and I can't experiment with it as much
as I can with mine. Thanks again, Milica

Hello all

I am Milica from Macedonia and am new to the list. I am posting a
question on behalf of a friend who does not speak English; he has a
nokia C5 phone with talks 5.0 premium edition installed on it. He has
a problem with talks reading/speaking the names in the contacts
directory. I also have the same version of talks on my N82 and it
reads/speaks the names of the contacts just fine. In the case of my
friend, talks says "text" when enters the contact directory. The names
of the contacts are apparently visible for a sighted user but, in this
case, talks does not behave as expected when in this directory. Please
let me know if you encountered a similar case and how you solved it.
Any and all help would be appreciated. Best, Milica
