Why not update the firmware too Maurice. I am wondering if this chat is the
same as what we have on E6, not accessable to visually impaired Talks users.
Get a sighted person to see if I am right on that one.

OK Maurice, I do not have an N86. Now take my E6 for example, I go to
menu,
settings, phone, phone management, device updates. Then press soft key
one
and it will search for updates and come back and tell you if there are
any.
In my case my E6 is a Vodafone and there are no updates. However, I did
have 2 software updates today, one was videos and the other was social.
This is what Stephen was meaning about the difference between software
updates and firmware updates. I have given you the route for firmware
updates. Now maybe on N86 there is Control Panel.
I have Control Panel on my C5 and the route I take on the C5 is settings,
device manager, and then options to check for updates.,
