I am running Talks 5.21.3 with the latest firmware on Nokia C5 00 and am having
the following problems-
1. When reading an email with Talks all the links disappear. I cannot click on
email address or web links.
2. I cannot know if there are any attachments and therefore cannot even
download them
3. I cannot label icons in the email. That means I cannot distinguish between
new, old, and read or unread email
I was told that the new version of Talks will take care of all the above. Am I
doing something wrong?
Can someone please help. Thank you.
Best wishes & Many Blessings!

This would depend on whether or not both phones had email setup on them, if
the proper file was on the sending phone, and what email.provider the person
is using.

Couldn't the transfer be done via email on the two phones respectively?

Where do I get the latest version of Vi browser? Also, does the other phone
need to have it too? Please do help.

You can install YBrowser and use it ability to send files by bluetooth from
phone to phone on 3rd Edition, 5th Edition and Anna too. If you ahve version
1.x of YBrowser this is built in. If you are using a older version, then you
will need to make sure that you install all the parts for it. Then you can
send the file from phone to phone.

Hi!
Renaming won't help. Symbian is a little smarter than that. It analyzes
the contents of the file and will refuse to send it. I haven't figured
out how to do this and I've tried!

You can send the file from your PC to the mobile using Bluetooth but not
from mobile to mobile. Another solution is to have it on a microSD-card
that you throw in the other mobile. Not an option for an E7 or other
mobiles without memory card-slot.

Hi list.
can someone please tell me, is there a general list about accessible cel
phones?

the reason I ask, is that I am trying to join the viPhone list on google
groups which is for visually impaired iPhone users,
however, my membership has been stuck on pending for over a week, and I
can't find the name of the list owner or moderator so I can e mail them
directly.
and I thought that if there was a general list on cel phone
accessibility whoever the owner or moderator of the viPhone list is
might be on that.

I have now had official confirmation from Quick Office and Nokia that Quick
Office 7.0 has been designed specifically for E6 and E7 phones. While I have
found a work-around for accessing my Word documents on E6, I would urge Talks
developers to consider making it possible for Talks users such as myself and
all others who wish to use Talks on E6 and E7 Anna phones, to look at a less
cumbersome method of accessing Word than that which I am currently usjing.

At present, to open and read with Talks a Word document using Quick Office 7, I
open the document through File Manager. Talks will at this point only read the
heading or first line of the document. I then go to Options and down to 'Go
To'. Here in the sub-menu, I choose bottom of page. I can now put a blank
line in my document, This seems to unlock the document for Talks users. I can
now go to the top of the document by going back to Options and selecting 'Go
to'. This time in the sub-menu I choose top of page. Now I can read my word
document line by line or character by character. This is a reasonable
workaround at present, but not effecient, if I wanted to open a Word document
quickly to look something up for someone, say if I was on the phone.

I have written over the past week about Quick Office 7 and E6 but I note that
there has been some but not much comment on this. Maybe not many people are
using the E6 and E7 yet or those who are are not using the Quikck Office.

I find the volume very low when on a call and practically impossible when
outside coping with the external noise. I do not have a hearing problem. Have
tried to increase the volume by pressing arrow up while on a call and have even
tried pressing vol up but to no avail. I now rely on the external speaker but
not totally satisfactory. Any ideas please?

Eleanor
