I don't think anyone addressed the question of opening the back of an N86.
One does have to use fingernails or some other thin object to pop off the
back. I hold the phone in my left palm with the face down and the camera
opening away from my fingers. I feel with my right index finger along the
end away from the camera opening and find a small, thin . slot-like opening.
It takes a little practice to get it quickly, but It is possible to get
pretty quick with it. I then insert my right index fingernail into the
opening and twist in a circular, rocking motion. This will pop up one of
the corners of the case near the slot. I then slide the same fingernail
toward the end of the case and the whole back pops off.
Gosh, I have not tried to describe this action in writing before, so cannot
be sure if this description will give you the idea of how to do it. Others
may do a better job of describing the action.

I had to get my friend to open my N86 so I could install a new sim card. He
said something about he had to use his fingernails to do it. Now, I want to
take my E66 sim card out and put it in my N86 by myself if possible. Any
ideas how to get in this thing? The e66 is certaily a heck a lot more
simpler to open. Also, Steve mentioned that some models can have several
home screens. I too heard talks say key 1 options, key 2 back and key 3
something else in different areas. Where is key 3 on the N86? Is this
available for this model? Can;t say going to change home screen, but I am a
little curious.
