Well thank you Stephen, I know about movjing files around to a limited
extent but would never have dreamed of putting something in to the Talks.
Great to be continuing to learn though *smile*.

I posted what was on the blind sea web site and it gave you the drive,
directory of where to put the file. It also told you what to do after you
copy the file to the directory. I don't know what else to say! The
instructions whir clear.
I guess if you need to be told you need to use a file manager was kind of
a given being it gave a directory. Just encase you missed it, it said to
put the Talks dictionary file in C:\Data\Others\Talks to make it down to
help you understand. This goes on drive C: which is the first drive on
your phone. If you use the bilt in file manager on the phone you are
already in the \Data directory. If you use PC Suite, then you will first
need to open drive C: on your phone. Then you will Need to open the Data
directory. Then you will need to Open the Others directory. Lastly you
will need to go to the Talks directory and paste the file in there.
Granted if you do not know anything about moving around directorys on your
PC or Phone, then this isn't going to help you at all.

Yes you do! There are three files in the zip file. So it is the only
file that doesn't have the SIS/SISX as part of the name. So when you
mentally block out the one that has 3rd and 5th then you are only left
with one file. That is the Talks dictionary file.
I don't know what you whir expecting! But if you look at the names in
the zip file you will find one that has something like
dict-10-20024d7a-Skype.txt
The DCIT says it is a Talks dictionary/Icon file and the fact that it
has SKYPE as part of the file name says it is for the SKYPE program.
How do I know this, well I look at the file names that Talks creates
when you generate dictionary entries and or Icon entries.

The instructions are also on the blind sea web site as far as where to
put the Talks dictionary file for Skype. The Key word being here Talks
dictionary file and not a Skype dictionary file. The different being
the dictionary file is for Talks but for the Skype program. I've
included the information from the blind sea web site as far as what it
says for Skype.
The zip file found at the bottom of this text area is for Symbian 9.2
phones and above. See www.skype.com/download/skype/symbian/ for more
information on what phones are supported. The file name that has
s60_3_ is for 3rd Edition phones and the one that has S60_5_ is for
5th Edition phones. The zip file has both files in it. So please make
sure that you install the correct file to your phone. The zip file
also has the Talks icon file for English users. The icon file has been
tested with Talks 5.01 on a E73, E75, N82, N86, N95, N97 Mini and a
5800 express music. Place the Talks icon file in with all your other
Talks icon files on your phone, then turn off and on your phone to
have Talks pick up the new icon file. Example: C:\Data\Others\Talks

I am a little confused about the skype dictionary in the zip file that
I have just downloaded. I thought it was some form of dictionary that
would embed itself in the Skype. Now how do I put this text file in
the skype?

Ok thanks Steven.

I would suggest that you use the file off the blind sea web
site. It has version 1.5 of Skype for 3rd and 5th Edition
phones. It also has a Talks dictionary file included with it
that has been tested and shown to work on 3rd&5th edition
phones.
Look at www.blindsea .com under the 3rd Edition link for Skype.
Note what is on the blind sea web site is not the same zip file
that was posted yesterday.
The Talks dictionary file was tested with Skype 1.5 only. So if
you use an earlyer or later copy of Skype it may not work.
