You can change the dictionary in Talks if you want to hear the battery level
in percentages over the bars. Myself, I like hearing the bars and not
percent because the phones doesn't go down eveningley.
If doing the battery in percentages you must enter the dictionary entries as
follows this is a example only.
Battery 4 bars
Replace with battery nn%
If that is what you want. You will need to enter 7 dictionary entries and
each entry must have the word battery and then a space and then the number
of bars and a space and lastly the word BARS with a S for anything over 1
and just bar for 1 bar.
The replacement must have the word battery with a space and then the
percentage followed with the percent sign.
Match Whole words must be set to YES.
Ignore case should be set to YES as well.

As far as we know the developers are on this list so will see your post.
As for the bars versus percentage for the battery, I think... and I could
be wrong, that the nokia phones have this built into the os and it is not
a feature of talks. The other screen reader reads the battery level in the
exact same way. Concerning the web page not loaded, there actually could
be a connection and the problem could be with talks not reading the page,
the web page being one of those that does not work well with a mobile
device, the web page being rather large and taking longer to load. These
are just examples. What I am basically trying to say is that just because
the web page isn't loading doesn't mean that there isn't an internet
connection active/availble.

Subject: [Talks] Some requests for a upcoming talks release
Hi all,
I again have some requests for a maybe upcoming talks release, because I
just hope
one comes out somewhen.
Below a list of features and improvements which I and maybe some other
users
want to have in a upcoming release.
What should be addeed?
1. Formatting the battery charge state so talks announces it in percent
rhather
than just in bars.
Example:
Rhather than just saying "Battery 6 bars", it says "Battery 85 percent"
My calculations resulted in a number being much longer, I've tried to
round it.
2. Talks should announce that no Internet connection is available in the
case a
web page is not loaded during a specified time, let's say 60 seconds.
What should be fixed?
Currently I see just one item to fix, so:
With talks 5.30 listboxes on a web page don't work. With 5.22 they dit.
Thanks for reading.
Regards,
Sascha
