On Sunday 3rd at 3.00 p.m there will be a talk given by La Orquesta El
Arranque Tango (title : Historia de la orquesta tipica, in Spanish with
Italian translation) followed by a milonga until 9.00 p.m - Viale Monza
140 - 1st floor- Milano

If you need accommodation in Milan there is the opportunity to stay in Monza
(20/30 minutes by car from where the Saturday party is taking place)in the
same place where the musicians will be staying. It's simple and cheap, but
you need a car to get there.

El Arranque is a young and successful orchestra. In 1998 they were
recognized as a 'revelation of the year' by El Clarin and La Nacion. They
have played at the most important Buenos Aires milongas( l'Almagro, la
Estrella, la Trastienda, la Confiteria Ideal) and at la Biblioteca Nacional
and Cafe' Tortoni.
In 1998 they ended the festival internacional de Buenos Aires with a great
performance in Avenida Corrientes.
Their first CD was recorded with the support of the tango master
Leopoldo Federico and the singer Nelly Omar.

Their repertoire ranges between different periods, and it's both traditional
and modern.
They intend to be an orquesta tipica recreating the spirit of the best of
the 40s and 50s through their own personal arrangements. Among the others,
they take inspiration from the orchestras of Anibal Troilo, Alfredo Gobbi
and Horacio Salgan. The result is tango with great musical impact and
dancing appeal.

The concert in Milano will be the first of their European tour in Italy ,
Germany , Norway , France and Holland.
