CURRICULUM VITAE DI JULIO E CORINA
JULIO BALMACEDA Y CORINA DE LA ROSA are highly respected teachers in
Buenos Aires. They are among the teachers of the "milongueros "(social
tango dancers).They have the reputation of being one of the most elegant
tango couple. Julio is the son of the legendary Miguel Balmaceda ,who
thought many well known dancers. Julio received his first tango lesson
from his father and he was his only teacher.
After his father died in 1991 , he took the classes over at the most
prestigious tango salons in Bs As :Canning , Grisel, El Parakultural,
Almagro, and La galeria del tango in order to the tradition of his
family,nowadays Julio has the honour of being one of the youngerst
milongueros in Bs As.
Corina started dancing at age of 6.She graduated from the National
Institute of Dance in Argentina,she made her first experience in theaching
clasical dance . When she was 23 , she dedicated her self to improve her
tango and learnt the secrets of its culture by dancing with the best old
milongueros.
Julio y Corina met in 1996 and since then , they have been working
toghether in Bs As and Europe . They gave workshops to teach the escens of
tango in diferent country all over Europe. As well as they performed with
the well known Orchestra COLOR TANGO
In 1998 they joined the cast of the famous Broadway tango show FOREVER
TANGO ! . Since then they had been teaching in U.S.A .
