HI Gina, The Club Espanol has several salons and they were quite good for the classes last year (don't forget, there will be classes at several other venues as well). There are several hotels within walking distance. We stayed at the Bauen but the Castelar was closer (and cheaper). There are many more but I cannot tell you the details. You could easily stay at the Caster or Bauen for a couple of days and look around once you are there and change hotels to suit your desires.
Same story about eating places. The are so many that it is difficult to tell you one or two. Wherever you are located you'll find plenty of restaurants very near by for all different prices, you can't lose ;-) The local tangueros last year were many of the same that I've seen at the milongas in Bs As before. They are good dancers for sure and they tend to dance among themselves or with people they know. I guess they are like dancers anywhere else. The instructors are quite good, I consider them excellent. I've taken lessons with almost all of the ones scheduled to teach. The biggest problem is deciding which ones to take from and which ones to miss. Since there are so many teachers available and so many classes at the same time, one has to make choices. It is a good problem to have but it is difficult to choose from so many good choices. If you have specific questions I might be able to answer them more precisely, I'll be happy to help you in any way I can. We'll be there for sure next year. Maybe we'll see you there?
