A friend and I spent four wonderful weeks at David and Nora's Casatango at Ave. Independencia and Pichincha in central Buenos Aires. They have several rooms for one or two people which are clean, quiet, and comfortable. Many house plants made it feel like home. Their web site has pictures.
Five milongas are within walking distance. The subway is a short walk, and numerous buses are within a block or two. Laundries and a supermarket are close by. We saved money by eating some meals in the Casatango kitchen. David and Nora speak Spanish, English and French. Their knowledge and advice on tango teachers, customs, places to go, and how to get there, was much appreciated.
