Paolo, with its 12 crystal chandeliers, at the Circolo di Lettura e Conversazione, in Marie-Louise of Austria's beautiful 19th century apartments at the heart of the charming town of Parma. With a special performance by Alex & Elisabetta dj: Vassily Starts at 10 p.m. Entrance 25.000 lire (13 euro or dollars). Formal dress required. December 8th is the anniversary of the Immaculate Conception and a national holiday in Italy, so why not combine the Gala with a pleasant long weekend in Parma (well-known for its wonderful food: Parma ham and Parmesan cheese, need I say more)?
