The Minneapolis tango community remains relatively small, but
our vibrancy is definitely rising! This weekend, for example:
Saturday, Dec. 4th

Workshops in Close Embrace Tango with Florencia Taccetti
Flor returns to the Twin Cities to teach the basics of tango in a
close
embrace. Her attention to detail and technique make these
workshops
ideal for both beginners and more experienced dancers. Thus,
these
workshops are for dancers of all abilities. Four 90 min.
workshops,
each will cover different material - 2 sessions on Saturday, 2
sessions
on Sunday.
Saturday Times: Two workshops, from 1:00-2:30 and 2:30-4:00 PM
Location: The new Rendezvous Ballroom, 2524 Nicollet Ave. So., Mpls.
Cost: $15 per 90 minute session
Registration: Register early at the door. Please come early, we'll
start on time.
The Monthly TSOM Milonga at the 42nd Ave. Ballroom
Typical attendance : 100 dancers
Times: 8:00 - 9:00 PM - Free introductory lesson with Florencia
Taccetti
9:00 PM - 1:00 AM - dance (Frank Williams as
DJ)
Location: 42nd Ave. Ballroom, Lyndale & 42nd Ave. North
Cost: TSOM members, $5; others, $8; student discounts

Sunday evening at the Loring Cafe
"Cambiando Sombras, Cuarteto de Tango" DEBUT PERFORMANCE. This promises
to be a very special musical event - Minneapolis' own tango quartet
playing Argentine arrangements of tango, milonga and vals!
Times: 8:00 - 8:30 Tango introductory class by Frank & Flor
8:30 - 12:00 Dancing to live tango, milongas, & waltzes
Location: the Loring Cafe, 16th & Hennepin, Mpls.
Cost: $10
