Los reyes del Tango embody the true spirit of an era of great Tango orchestras. 9 outstanding, seasoned musicians, many of them performing since the legendary '40s, the 'Epoca del Oro' for Tango, their music hasn't been heard so energetically and genuine since the days of D'Arienzo and D'Angelis. Joined by the voice of an outstanding young singer, who could be their grandson, Los Reyes del Tango do what they do best: play original Tango meant for dancing. Currently you can find them every week in the most popular milongas of Buenos Aires. 'Sold out' is the word most often heard when they perform at Torquato Tasso or Niño Bien. Considered Tango orchestra of the year in 1999, they played for all six nights straight instead of the planned two at last years CITAS. They were also selected to play on December 11, the National Tango holiday itself, during the 2nd 'Festival International del Tango' in Buenos Aires (9-11 Dec. 99). Only the best play there, like Color Tango, El Arranque, Los Cosos de al Lao with Alfredo Piro and the fabulous DJ Felix Picherna. It is time to experience Los Reyes del Tango beyond the milongas of Buenos Aires, and this time is now. Starting in the year 2000 Los Reyes del Tango have agreed to go on a world tour.
