Hola Milongueros & Tangueras; On April 30, 2000 in downtown Miami, at Bayfront Park, Enrique Kogan will be presenting his second annual Argentine Festival. Last year's event was declared by the Argentinean Ambassador, the largest festival in the world, outside Argentina. This festival is more that just Tango. This day long celebration of Argentinean culture is projected to be the largest and most spectacular Argentinean festival ever seen in the United States.
The Folklore, Tango, Rock and Pop music, as well as art and cuisine of various latin influences, will be an experience not to be missed and one you won't forget. The USTC Tango Fantasy will be sponsoring The Master Juan Carlos Copes and his daughter Johana to join the festivities both, on stage for one of his grand performances and he will be at the "La Tangueria" for meeting the people and signing autographs. What is "La Tangueria"? It will be our Milonga in the outside. We will have an outside tent of 40' X 60.' There will be, as at all USTC events, an excellent 2,400 sq. ft wood dance floor, our quality Tango music from our Saturday night "La Milonga del Pueblo" to make it an evening to remember. All local Miami and South Florida Tangueros will be there. Local instructors Randy Pittman, Roberto Maiolo and Laura Brondo will be teaching Tango classes starting at 12:00 noon, all throughout the day and into the evening. Plus all of the folklore, tradition and cuisine of Argentina. Gaucho and other folkloric dances are a big part of the history and culture of Argentina. They are truly an incredible source of pride for the Argentineans as the tradition of these dances is carried into our modern day world. On display will be works of art from both South Florida and Argentinean artists. Featuring murals, heritage and tradition the exhibitions will be an interesting attraction for the whole community. Over 20,000 are expected to join in the party this year. Don't be left out. Make your plans to join us today. Tango Forever, Randy Pittman
