Yes folks it is still happening. Tangueros from as far away as Denver,
Detroit, Cincinnati, Cleveland and Indiana have contacted me about coming.
To answer some of the most commonly asked questions:
There are a variety of floors that we can dance on:
bumpy barn wooden floor with some traces of bat poop from the bats that
sleep there at night (will attempt to clean off before the party)
patio floor outside
inside basement linoleum floor
If people don't like one floor we can switch to another.
Camping : no true camping facilities, just a big farm. Bushes are
nature's bathroom. My mother warns me that for the civilized who really
don't like summer mosquitoes that nearby inexpensive motels are the best
bet. Only five minutes away and $40/night are EconoLodge 937-426-5822 and
more expensive the Holiday Inn $73/night w AAA card in Xenia, 937-372-9921.
Organization:
As you can tell this is a very informal people-to-people event. We can
start earlier than Sunday if people arrive earlier and want to organize
something. We can go later than Sunday if people end up wanting to stay
longer. Some people have offered to bring their sound systems. That is
great. Whatever people would like to bring would be very welcome. There is
no organized teaching but I think most of us have taken enough lessons and
classes that we can do a very informative practica and self-critique session
(that's what they do in BA!).
If people who are coming would like me to post their email addresses in the
next message so that others can contact them for purposes of carpooling,
ridesharing, etc, please let me know and I will do so.
Stella
