TANGO IN SAN FRANCISCO CA ON WEDNESDAYS-- On Wednesday, June 7, 2000,
the GOLDEN GATE MILONGA will sponsor Noberto ("el Pulpo") Esbrez and
Luiza Paes as guest tango instructors. The class will be conducted
from 7:30-8:30pm. From 8:30-midnight there will be a Milonga Dance
Party with Glenn Corteza as the DJ. The GOLDEN GATE MILONGA is an
ongoing event in San Francisco with Roberto Riobo as regular
instructor. The GOLDEN GATE MILONGA is held at the Golden Gate Yacht
Club, end of Yacht Road, (on the Marina in SAN FRANCISCO), Admission to
the Class and Milonga is $12. Admission to the Milonga only is $8.

Noberto has been dancing professionally, teaching and choreographing
tangos for twelve years in Argentina and Brazil. Noberto and Luisa were
one of the couples who where popular instructors at the Cosmotango 2nd
Congreso Internacional de Tango Argentino held in Buenos Aires in March
of this year, and attended by Tango dancers the world over. They
demonstrate and teach complex sequences of ganchos, sacadas and
engauches.
Roberto Riobo, the official instructor for the Golden Gate Milonga, is a
native of, and tango instructor from, Buenos Aires. He studied tango
with Rodolfo y Gloria Dinzel in Buenos Aires. Roberto teaches tango at
the Universidad del Tango de Buenos Aires. He emphasizes partnership
communication, stressing the importance of the embrace.
