Hi gang, My sweetie and I will be visiting San Francisco from July 6 to 13. As always I will check the Web, but I also seek "insider" anecdotal info about the various milongas, e.g. which are the best-attended, what's the music like, any distinguishing demographics, etcetera. I haven't been there since late 1996 so I expect things have changed a lot.
Any recommendations for inexpensive, decent places to stay are just as welcome! We may also drive down to L.A. if there's time--what's the tango scene like there? Thanks in advance. --Robinne Ithaca, NY
