If you are travelling alone or for the first time to Buenos Aires for a
tango adventure, you may enjoy an opportunity to socialize with Argentinians
and foreign residents outside of a milonga. There is a group called
Freetime. I found information about their organization at
www.expatvillage.com which has excellent information as well for people
coming to visit or live in Buenos Aires.

We are a team of Argentinians and foreign residents who hold social
gatherings regularly. Our friendly meetings take place in a beautiful cafe
in the center of historical Recoleta.
While in Buenos Aires, we welcome you to join us during our Freetime
meetings! As an overseas visitor, we promise you will find a more natural
setting to learn about the people, culture and customs of Argentina. As
we all know from traveling around the world our only contact with local
culture is often through tour buses, theme restaurants, and tourist-traps.
However, for the price of a cup of tea, you will be introduced to a variety
of people who are happy to share their experiences and information about
Argentina. Talk with locals and foreigners, exchange travel and living
experiences, practise or learn your spanish, participate in cultural
activities AT NO COST. This is not any kind of commercial stuff, this is
serious and totally FREE.
