Marcelo Solis and Yanina Messina are offering two 4 week sessions of Argentine
Tango
workshops at Performance Studios 449 Powell Street, 3rd Floor, in San
Francisco. The
first in October and the second in November. These workshops will be held on
Monday,
7-10p. In October on 9, 16, 23 and 30, and in November on 6, 13, 20, and 27,
2000.
For Beginner students from 7-8:30p and for Intermediate students from 8:30-10p.
WORKSHOP THEMES:
7 Good, comfortable posture (for both partners)
7 Walking in rhythm
7 Structure of the tango dance
7 Technique for leaders and followers.
1) How to lead your partner and move yourself at the same time.
2) How to be a responsive follower and an independent dancer at the
same time
7 Creativity and Combination of movements
7 Vals
7 Milonga
7 Musicality - listening to different orchestras
7 Choreography
About levels: These classes are equally good for beginners and advanced
students.
The price is $50 per person for the 4 week session paid in advance. For
drop ins the price is $20 per person per class. Please phone Jeanne
