Rubin Milonga started dancing tango at the age of 12 (in 1956). He has
been dancing for 44 years, and is an expert in the history of tango
styles. At 15 he began collecting all things related to tango, from
objects to oral histories. He became a licensed psychologist in 1984
and opened a dancing school for tango, milonga and tango vals in 1987.
In 1993 he was able to combine his careers when he was appointed
professor at the Tango University of Buenos Aires. He taught classes in
the psychology of tango and the Porteqo, and in tango literature. He
has authored and co-authored several investigative works on tango and
milonga, and has lectured and taught tango dances around the world. He
teaches "Milonguero, " Canyengue", "Orillero" and other dance styles.

Rubin will return to The Danceasy in October. He will teach the
advanced tango class on October 21st and conduct a special workshop on
the 22nd. He will be available for private lessons at The Danceasy from
the 19th to the 27th. If any bay area milonga sponsors wish to have him
