You are cordially invited to a very special night of performances, singing, and dancing to live music at the fabulously elegant art-deco Los Angeles landmark, the Hollywood Athletic Club. The Hollywood Athletic Club recalls the swanky opulence of Hollywood's Golden Age. Tango demands sophisticated, warm, rich, even historic arenas where its complex, emotional undertones can be expressed within a worthy setting. And tango with a live orquestra, in this magnificent high-ceilinged space, may even transport you to, yes, that other legendary place: imagine yourself at a milonga in Buenos Aires. The evening's program includes a stage show with Chicho & Lucia, Fernanda & Guillermo and surprise guest performances. 'Cuarteto Los Angeles' under the direction of Pepe Mota with the special participation of 'Forever Tango's master bandoneonist Coco Trovisono. Recording artist Martin DeLeon brings his powerful and emotional voice to the show. Join the many tango aficionados from around the world that will be attending this unique event. A specially selected music program of recorded classic tangos, milongas and valses will complement the live music between sets. A buffet of fine hors d'oeuvres will be served accompanied by fine Argentine wines, beer and drinks. The gala event starts at 9:00pm sharp. Admission is $38 in advance (prior to Oct. 10), $45 at the door (we strongly recommend you make reservations early, as we expect the event to be sold out). Formal Attire is requested: dress to impress.
